A Tale Of Two Kings

Series:
Passage: Luke 2:1-7
Service Type:

A Tale of Two Kings – Luke 1:80

This portion of Scripture speaks of two kings. The first king is obviously Caesar Augustus. This dictator made “a decree… that all the world should be taxed. One word from the king and the whole world moved. This was the power of a Caesar. Caesar Augustus was a king of the world; but there was a true King of the world unbeknownst to him. This King was the one whose unseen orchestration prepared the way of the true Savior of the world.

Unbeknownst to Caesar Augustus, the true King of the world was the One who ordained him to give the word – the decree that all the world should be taxed. He thought that he was the master of the world; but truly, the true King mastered him.

Application:

Who’s got real power in the world? – Caesar Augustus appeared to have the power, but it was God who has real power.
Do you have room for Jesus? – Those who have room for Jesus will have a mansion in heaven.
Are you continuing to give Him room? – Are you keeping a place open in your morning routine? Is there room for Him in your daily activities? Are you making space for Him in your home?
