Mary’s Submission – Luke 1:34-38

The most amazing birth in world history was about to take place – the virgin birth of the Lord Jesus Christ, the savor of the world. We observe that Mary did not respond in unbelief, but asked “how shall this be?” Gabriel responded with three tremendous answers:

The Plan of Conception (v. 35) – “The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee:”
The Proof of Conception (v. 36) – “behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren.
The Power behind the Conception (v. 37) – “For with God nothing shall be impossible.”

Application: Mary presented her body as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God for this great and miraculous work of bringing the Son of God into the world of men.

Will you present your body a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God as your reasonable service?
There are many commands in the word of God that doesn’t take a miracle to be obeyed. Just be willing to obey them!
